Hello! It's Heather, here! :)
You know, Christmas is my favorite time of year (well Fall is too), but there's something about Christmas that makes me feel like a kid again. That constant giddiness and anticipation of Christmas... The only difference is not necessarily giddiness of getting gifts, but giddiness of giving gifts and the excitement and anticipation of seeing loved ones and doing lots of Christmastime things...
This Christmas season has been quite a bit different for us than the last few years in that we've been able to enjoy this time without feeling the huge burden of our work looming over our heads. Don't get me wrong, we love what we do, and we're so grateful to be able to do it, but there is a time for working and there is a time for resting. The last few years have felt so cluttered with work during the holiday that I've always ended up feeling stressed or preoccupied with thoughts like "I should be home chipping away at something work related".... Somehow this year, it's been the complete opposite and let me just say it feels like a Christmas miracle. This time to relax, recuperate, and spend together has been much needed after a busy year. There's sense of balance that feels almost too good to be true, but I know that isn't the case because I know it's God blessing us with that balance that we've always asked for. So this Christmas, I'm really going to savor my time, family, the rest, and togetherness.
We wish you all the Merriest of Christmases and we hope you are able to enjoy this Christmas holiday with your loved ones and just savor these times! Take lots of photos! :)
