4 Tips to Prepare for your Engagement Session

4 Tips to Prepare for your Engagement Session by Revival Photography www.revivalphotography.com

It's engagement season! We've been scheduling a lot of engagement sessions lately and thought it would be a great idea to post some tips on how you can have a fun and meaningful engagement session...

1. Share your story. Don't be afraid to share your story. As wedding photographers this helps us to learn more about you and enables us to really personalize your engagement session experience.

2. Location. Do you have a particular location where he popped the question? A type of place where you like to visit? Locations that you connect with or are significant to you are great possibilities for your engagement session, so be sure to share this info with your wedding photographer!

3. Allow time to warm up to the camera. There is always, always, always a little bit of a warm up period at the beginning of the engagement session. Whether you're used to the camera or if you've never been photographed professionally in your entire life - it always takes a little time to forget about the cameras, so expect it, and know that it's normal and nothing to feel stressed about.

4. Be you. We can't stress it enough - the more you allow yourselves to be tuned in to each other, the quicker you'll forget about the cameras. We want you to be YOU, because your personality will really come out in the photos, and this will make them so much more meaningful to you.

xoxo
