Heather + Kyle: An Intimate Ceremony at Mountain Magnolia Inn
“We absolutely loved our wedding. Honestly, once Heather sent me our photos I cried looking through them. I was very nervous at the beginning of the day & my husband tells me he was so at ease which was completely opposite of how we thought we would be! My best memory of the day was probably after the ceremony and lunch reception most people went to take a nap at the inn but my husband and I stayed outside and swung together on the hammock for a couple hours just talking about the day. It was so relaxing and much needed bonding time.”
“Our wedding was simple and intimate. We had a very small guest list (only family). The only style I went with was lavender. There was lavender everywhere! It smelled so pretty :)”
“We met in the USAF and have been together for 5 years now. My husband proposed to me at the Space needle in Seattle WA. We were in transit on our way to South Korea to do a year long tour there together. We had dinner at the restaurant and he proposed during the dinner. He asked me the question and I was so excited I didn’t even say yes! Haha I said DUH!!! He thought that was pretty funny.”
“I loved my wedding and I would not change one thing about it. I wish I could relive the day! I planned the whole thing myself and at the end of the lunch my husband and I were standing looking at the food spread and he puts his arm around me & just says “Babe, this is perfect. You did a really good job.” (Heather got a picture of this moment without us even knowing!) That moment meant a lot to me. All my hard work paid off and I was just so happy my husband loved it.”
Any advice for future brides + grooms?: Don't stress during planning! Honestly, I'm sure a lot of people had huge weddings and loved them but in my opinion I would keep it small, intimate, and (cheap)! We spent the most money on our photographer (& I would have paid more! Heather and her husband did such an amazing job. They totally blew us away with our pictures.) The fact of the matter is, its one day (an important one yes) but don't blow 20 grand because you had to invite a million people you barely talk to once a year. Invite the most important people in your life, do things you want to do (we played cornhole and relaxed after the ceremony), and just have fun. The real part (marriage) starts after the wedding anyways :)
